We the people of Coimbatore, for the people of Coimbatore, are proud to present the 12th edition of Coimbatore Vizha that celebrates the perennial spirit of this timeless city.
Art, Culture, Education, Entertainment, Food, Travel, Heritage, Technology, and more – the Coimbatore Vizha 2020 is lined up with a series of exciting events in the week-long celebration set from Jan 3-12. Let’s come together to celebrate this feeling called Coimbatore.

Theme - KONGU SAMAYAL Date 04.01.2020 Registration Time 08:30AM Max Participants 25 teams Time Allotted 4 hours Rules: • 2 participants per team • The participants must prepare one starter, one main course and one dessert. • Time allotted is 4 hours including presentation and cleaning. • Participants should report at the correct time. • The participants should bring their own ingredients. • The participants should bring their own presentation kit • Basic cooking utensils will be provided by the department. • Pre-prepared items will not be allowed. • Participants should present the dishes to the judges. • Judges decision is final.

Photography/ Short Film Contest
General Guidelines Registration free. All expenses to be met by the participants. Students must bring their college identity card and permission letter from college. Students must bring their own materials for the competitions. Any disturbance created at the venue will lead to immediate disqualication of the team. Objectionable content will not be allowed. Management and organizers are not responsible for the loss of any personal belongings. Submission date for Photography and Short Film Competition on or before 03/01/2020. Photography Students enrolled in a Graduate/Post Graduate/Diploma programme in a college, university or any institution can participate. Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses. Photos submitted must be at least 640 pixels on the shorter side, and no more than 2000 pixels on the longer side. Images should be no larger than 2MB. Photos must be in JPEG format. Participants are required to provide a unique title & description for each image submitted. All submitted photos must contain the original EXIF metadata information. However there must be no border(s), logo(s), copyright marks, identifying marks, or any other visible references and/or marks on the image. Basic editing, including colour enhancement, the use of filters, and cropping of the Photo(s) is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the Photo(s). Advanced editing used to create illusions, deceptions and/or manipulations, and the adding and removing of significant elements within the frame is prohibited. Photos that portray or otherwise include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including provocative nudity, violence, human rights and/or environmental violation, and/or any other contents deemed to be contrary to the law, religious, cultural & moral traditions and practices of India, are strictly prohibited and will be immediately discarded. Participants are required to submitted their printed photos in 8*12 inches(a4). Short Film Students enrolled in a Graduate/Post Graduate/Diploma programme in a college, university or any institution can participate. Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses. Duration of the short film minimum 5 Minutes maximum 30 Minutes. Registered participants can be accompanied by the crew involved in that film The jury/committee’s decision on the selection will be final. Entries must be submitted in DVD format compatible with Indian standards and the entries. Attach a brief synopsis of the film, the list of the cast and the crew involved in making the film and two still photographs from the film All films submitted must have subtitles.
